When a location whereupon a touch manipulation is made and which a location detection means has detected is a location of a mark for accepting the manipulation, a control unit carries out a process which is associated with the mark for accepting the manipulation, whereas if the location whereupon the touch manipulation is made and which the location detection means has detected is a location other than the mark for accepting the manipulation and whereupon a pressure manipulation is sensed by a pressure manipulation sensing means, the control unit carries out a process corresponding to the pressure manipulation. This touch input device accepts pressure manipulation even if a location other than a mark for accepting the manipulation is touched. Accordingly, this touch input device is capable of accepting a greater number of manipulations and carrying out a greater number of processes according to the said manipulations than when accepting the touch manipulations only at the locations of the marks for accepting the manipulations. |
