摘要 A production method for a sintered member includes preparing a raw powder, compacting the raw powder into a green compact having pores at the surface thereof, and sintering the green compact into a sintered compact. The production method also includes sealing the pores exposed at the surface of the sintered compact by at least one of plastically deforming and melting the surface of the sintered compact. The production method further includes forging the sintered compact by using a lubricant after the sealing.

A production method for a sintered member, comprising: preparing a raw powder; compacting the raw powder into a green compact having pores at a surface thereof; sintering the green compact into a sintered compact; sealing the pores exposed at the surface of the sintered compact by performing shot peening to the surface of the sintered compact; applying a lubricant to the sintered compact, the lubricant including at least two kinds of powders having different melting points, a first one of the powders having a lower melting point and a second one of the powders having a higher melting point; heating the sintered compact such that the first one of the powders having the lower melting point is melted; cooling the sintered compact such that the melted first one of the powders is solidified, thereby adhering the second one of the powders having the higher melting point to the sintered compact; and cold forging the sintered compact after the cooling.
