Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media are disclosed for providing interference rejection in ultra-wideband real time locating systems. In one embodiment, an ultra-wideband (UWB) receiver is configured to: receive a composite signal, the composite signal comprising a UWB signal transmitted from within a monitored region and an interference signal transmitted from a source positioned outside the monitored region; filtering at least a first component of the composite signal representing the interference signal with a tunable notch filter to generate a filtered signal; determining an interference level in the filtered signal; and adjust the tunable notch filter to reduce the interference level. Corresponding systems, methods, and computer-readable storage medium are also provided. |

1. An ultra-wideband (UWB) receiver comprising:
an antenna configured to receive a composite signal, the composite signal comprising a UWB signal and an interference signal; a tunable notch filter comprising a first mixer, a notch filter, a second mixer, a splitter, and a voltage controlled oscillator, the tunable notch filter configured to attenuate a part of the composite signal representing the interference signal thereby generating a filtered signal; a detector configured to receive the filtered signal from the tunable notch filter; a bias amplifier configured to:
receive an output of the detector; andindicate changes in an operating point of the detector based on the output; and a controller configured to:
monitor the changes indicated by the bias amplifier to determine an interference level associated with the filtered signal; andadjust the tunable notch filter to reduce the interference level in an instance in which the interference level is above a threshold level. |
