A high lift component includes at least one intermediate seal on at least one lateral surface, wherein the intermediate seal includes at least one hollow body made of an elastic material, which hollow body includes a fluid inlet that is connectable to a fluid source. A gap between two high lift components, which gap is subjected to dynamic changes in geometry, can be flexibly sealed in this manner.

1. A high lift system comprising:
first and second laterally adjacent high lift components; and at least one intermediate seal on each of the first and second high lift components situated in between the first and second high lift components in an extended state of the first and second high lift components, each intermediate seal having at least one hollow body made of an elastic material; wherein the at least one hollow bodies each comprises a fluid inlet connectable to a fluid source; and wherein the intermediate seals of the first and second high lift components in the extended state of the first and second high lift components are expanded in such a manner that the intermediate seals touch and together substantially close a space between the first and second high lift components.
