[Problem] To provide a biaxially drawn colored polyester film for lamination-forming a metal sheet that: exhibits exceptional form-processing performance that allows the film to be kept from being cracked or scraped when formed into cans, etc., even when subjected to severe processing or high-temperature heat treatments; and yields formed articles such as cans that have exceptional concealing properties, outward appearance, and imprintability. The invention is arrived at using a biaxially drawn colored polyester film for lamination-forming a metal sheet. Said film comprises at least two layers: a surface layer (layer A) that chiefly comprises a polyester having a melting point TmA of 230‒260˚C, the color pigment content not exceeding 10% by weight, the intrinsic viscosity of the polymer component being no less than 0.46, and the angle of contact with water relative to the external surface being 70‒120˚; and a substrate layer (layer B) that chiefly comprises a color pigment and a polyester that has a melting point TmB of 230‒260˚C, the intrinsic viscosity of the polymer component being no less than 0.46, and the color pigment content being more than 10% by weight but not exceeding 50% by weight. |TmB‒TmA| is no greater than 4˚C. |
