The present invention is a method for manufacturing a fluorinated hydrocarbon represented by structural formula (3), characterized by comprising bringing a secondary or tertiary ether compound represented by structural formula (1) and an acid fluoride represented by structural formula (2) into contact in the presence of a metal oxide on which boron trifluoride is supported in a hydrocarbon-based solvent. In structural formulas (1) through (3), R1 and R2 represent C1-3 alkyl groups, and R1 and R2 may be bonded and form a ring structure. R3 represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, or an ethyl group, and R4 and R5 represent methyl groups or ethyl groups. Through the present invention, an industrially advantageous method for manufacturing 2-fluorobutane is provided. |
