1. A liquid crystal display apparatus, comprising:
a pair of substrates; liquid crystal held between the pair of substrates; a plurality of scanning lines arranged on one substrate of the pair of substrates; a plurality of data lines arranged on the one substrate so as to cross the scanning lines; a transparent and planar first electrode arranged, on the one substrate, in a region opened in correspondence to each of a plurality of subpixels arranged in matrix divided by the scanning lines and the data lines; and at least one second electrode and at least one third electrode alternately arranged in a front view above the first electrode with an insulating film intervening, wherein the second electrode and the third electrode are independently driven, and a voltage for driving the liquid crystal is individually applied between the second electrode and the first electrode and between the third electrode and the first electrode. |
