SUSPENSION SYSTEM AND SUSPENSION FOR AN ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE DRIVE ASSEMBLY

The invention is directed toward providing for the stable and smooth movement of an all-terrain vehicle with four independent caterpillar drive assemblies. A suspension system for an all-terrain vehicle is configured independently on each drive assembly. The suspension comprises a cross lever with an articulated connection to the upper part of a body, and a ball joint at the point where said lever is fastened to a supporting frame in proximity to a drive wheel, and further comprises a spring, fastened between the body and the supporting frame in the lower part thereof in proximity to a supporting wheel, wherein the spring is situated approximately transverse to the longitudinal axis of the all-terrain vehicle. The suspension is intended for an all-terrain vehicle including a body and running gear, comprising four caterpillar drive assemblies, arranged in pairs and symmetrically in the front and rear parts of the body. Each caterpillar drive assembly comprises a supporting frame and a caterpillar track, encompassing a drive wheel and at least two supporting wheels.
