LINEAR TRANSFORMATION METHOD (VARIANTS)

The proposed invention relates to the field of computing and cryptography, and more particularly to methods of performing linear transformations, operating at a set speed and entailing minimal memory consumption, for subsequent use in devices for the cryptographic protection of data. The technical result is the possibility of selecting interrelated characteristics (response speed and volume of memory required) for a specific computer system when performing a large-scale linear transformation. Using the proposed method makes it possible to reduce the amount of memory consumed at a given processor capacity. For this purpose a modified Galois or Fibonacci type linear shift register is constructed on the basis of a given linear transformation according to the rules set out in the method described, and the use thereof makes it possible to achieve the result described.
