Embodiments of the present invention relate to the field of communications, and provide a transmission method and device for a physical downlink control channel. The present invention can enhance a signal strength of a physical downlink control channel received by a UE, and improve the quality of communication between a UE and a base station. The transmission method comprises: acquiring, by a UE, a parameter collection for transmitting a first physical downlink control channel, wherein the first physical downlink control channel is for sending the same downlink control information (DCI) during at least R subframes; determining, by the UE and according to the parameter collection, N candidate positions of transmission of the first physical downlink control channel by a base station, wherein the candidate positions comprise the R subframes; monitoring, by the UE and at the N candidate positions, whether the base station transmits the first physical downlink control channel; and receiving, by the UE and at a first candidate position, the first physical downlink control channel transmitted by the base station, wherein the N candidate positions comprise the first candidate position. |
