摘要 The present invention prevents a repulsive force produced by a compensation spring assembly from influencing precise gap drive. This insertion light source is provided with: a first magnet column M1 and a second magnet column M2 which oppose each other across a gap; magnet support members 1 and 2 to which the magnet columns are attached and which support the magnet columns; a gap drive mechanism 50 for driving the first and second magnet support members 1 and 2 in a vertical direction so as to modify the size of the gap; a drive linkage mechanism for connecting the gap drive mechanism 50 and the magnet support members 1 and 2; compensation spring assemblies 40 which compensate for an attractive force acting between the first magnet column M1 and the second magnet column M2; spring linkage mechanisms connecting the compensation spring assemblies 40 to the magnet support members 1 and 2; a first support frame 30 supporting the gap drive mechanism 50; a second support frame 20 supporting the compensation spring assemblies 40; and a common base 10 mounted on a mounting surface. The first support frame 30 and the second support frame 20 are coupled separately from one another to the common base 10.
