Disclosed are a keystone correction method and a projector, the method comprising: via a camera, obtaining an image outputted when a projector projects pure color light; calculating greyscale parameters of N areas of the image on the horizontal direction, the N areas being obtained by dividing the image on the horizontal direction according to a preset rule, N being a positive integer greater than or equal to 2; according to the greyscale parameters of the N areas, determining a tilt direction and a tilt coefficient corresponding to the image; according to the tilt coefficient and pre-stored tilt angle and tilt coefficient corresponding relationship data, determining a tilt angle corresponding to the tilt coefficient; performing horizontal keystone correction on the projector according to the tilt direction and the tilt angle. |
