The present invention relates to an image display device having an automatic broadcast program offering function such that the users are automatically offered a certain number of alternative programs. More particularly, the present invention relates to an image display device receiving a plurality of broadcasting services and comprising a control unit effecting operation of the image display device, the control unit being configured to automatically analyze information tags of alternative program contents other than the program content being viewed on a real-time basis to generate an alternative program list.
