1. A liquid crystal display device comprising:
a first substrate; a second substrate; a first electrode provided on a first surface of the first substrate, the first surface facing the second substrate, the first electrode including a plurality of convex and concave portions; a second electrode provided on a second surface of the second substrate; and a liquid crystal layer provided between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein at least one of the convex portions includes a plurality of stepped portions, wherein the stepped portions are provided at the convex stem portions, each of the plurality of stepped portions including a first surface at a center portion of one of the convex stem portions, a second surface on the first surface, and a third surface outside the second surface, and wherein the first surface is higher than the second surface, and the second surface is higher than of the third surface. |
