This liquid detergent includes: component (a), namely an α-sulfo-fatty acid alkyl ester salt represented by the formula {R3CH(SO3M)COOR4} (R3 is a C10-16 hydrocarbon group, R4 is a C1-6 hydrocarbon group, and M is a counter ion); and component (b), namely a fatty acid polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether which comprises compounds represented by the formula {R1CO(AO)mOR2} (R1 is a C15-17 saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group, A is a C2-4 alkylene group, m is a positive integer, and R2 is a C1-3 alkyl group), wherein the average value of m is 5-20, the ratio of compounds in which R1 is an unsaturated hydrocarbon group including a double bond to the whole of component (b) is at least 45 mass%, the ratio of compounds in which R1 is an unsaturated hydrocarbon group including at least two double bonds to all compounds in which R1 is an unsaturated hydrocarbon group is at least 4 mass%, and all double bonds are cis-type double bonds. |
