The product storage device (20) according to the present invention is provided with: a product storage column (30a) which comprises a rail member (30) supporting products (1) in such a manner that the products are suspended in an upright position and arranged in a line; a main gate member (42) which, when in a normal state, advances to a location downstream of the most downstream product in the product storage column, wherein when the main gate member retreats from the product storage column, the main gate member permits the most downstream product to be unloaded; and a sub-gate member (44) which retreats when the main gate member advances into the product storage column, and advances when the main gate member retreats from the product storage column. The product storage device (20) is further provided with a pair of attachments (34) which are mounted respectively on the left and right sides of the rail member and which restrict the passage therebetween of products having a width greater than a width of a predetermined target product.
