In order to efficiently control cells using an unallocated frequency band or a shared frequency band, a terminal device is provided with: a reception unit for receiving a PDCCH; a transmission unit which uses a serving cell to transmit a PUSCH; and a CCA check unit which, before a subframe to which the transmission of the PUSCH is designated, performs first LBT in which a CCA check is performed a number of times based on a random number, or second LBT in which a CCA check is performed only once. The terminal device switches between the first LBT and the second LBT on the basis of prescribed conditions.
