摘要 The invention relates to a plate for bone fixation, which is based on a divergent segmented biplanar concept consisting in the use of self-stabilising screws with a biplanar arrangement which is divergent in segments, where each segment consists of self-stabilising screws that diverge from each other by 100 degrees, and are arranged in different fixation planes. In this way, divergent biplanar fixation promotes stability in the event of torsional loads in blocked systems, since, unlike fixation with conventional screws where the bone helps to support the loads with an implant-bone contact, when self-stabilising screws are used, the loads are transmitted in the interface between same and the implant, the screws being highly prone to cut-out and fracturing when they are in a single fixation plane.
