An method for conveniently starting up a specific application by means of a fingerprint, and a mobile terminal, the method comprising: recording a fingerprint preset by the user to match a specific application; when the user inputs the fingerprint, detecting whether there is a specific application matching the fingerprint; if so, then opening the specific application, and if not, maintaining the original state. By means of defining an opening method for commonly used applications, a user can quickly and conveniently open a required application amongst numerous applications. |
