A small antenna is provided with: a first element (23) composed of a pair of conductors having feeding points (32); and a second element (24) that is arranged via an interposed dielectric member and that is a conductor. Portions of the first and second elements (23, 24) have inductance shapes (34, 40, 41). A first resonance mode (A) in which current directions in the first and second elements (23, 24) are the same has a first resonance frequency (Fa0). A second resonance mode (B) in which the current directions in the first and second elements (23, 24) are opposite to one another has a second resonance frequency (Fb0). The lengths (Lm + S) from the feeding points to the inductance shapes are set so that the first resonance frequency (Fa0) falls within a range from slightly above the second resonance frequency (Fb0) to a high antiresonance frequency (Fbru) of the second resonance mode (B) or a range from slightly below the second resonance frequency (Fb0) to a low antiresonance frequency (Fbrd) of the resonance mode (B). |
