[Class 3 (i)] In destination - indicator mechanism wherein a non - endless display band wound on and off two rollers i s reversed in direction of wind by the reversal of rotation of a manually or power driven shaft, the mechanism including helical gear wheels engaged by clutch sleeves longitudinally slidable on the shaft under the influence of pin and scroll slot devices, friction is applied to the clutch sleeves F by spring-pressed pads G located in radial holes in the blocks B<3>, B<4> in which the sleeves F bear. The pad G may be of fibre, leather, &c., and the pressure of each spring G<1> may be adjusted by a screw G<2>. In a modification a single sleeve having clutch teeth at each end takes the place of the two sleeves F.
