USE OF ALKYL POLYGLYCOSIDES AS PERFUME-SOLUBILISING AGENTS AND PERFUME COMPOSITION INCLUDING SAME

A composition represented by the formula (I): R-0-(G)p-H, wherein R is the n-heptyl radical, G is the residue of a reducing sugar and p is a decimal number no lower than 1.05 and no higher than 5. The composition is a mixture of compounds represented by the formulas R-0-(G)1-H (I1), R-0-(G)2-H (I2), R—O-(G)3-H (I3), R—O-(G)4-H (I4), and R-0-(G)5-H (I5) in the respective molar ratios a1, a2, a3, a4 and a5, such that each ratio a1, a2, a3, a4 and a5 is between zero and one inclusive and that the sum of a1+a2+a3+a4+a5, is equal to one. Also, the method of solubilizing, in an aqueous solution, a hydrophobic perfume substance (A) or a mixture of hydrophobic perfume substances (A) with this composition, and a solubilising composition for hydrophobic perfumes. 1. A method of solubilizing a hydrophobic perfuming substance (A) or for a mixture of hydrophobic perfuming substances (A) in an aqueous solution, comprising mixing:
a) a composition represented by the formula (I):
R—O-(G)p-H  (I), in which R represents then-heptyl radical, G represents the residue of a reducing sugar and p represents a decimal value greater than or equal to 1.05 and less than or equal to 5, said composition with formula (I) consisting of a mixture of compounds represented by the formulae (I1), (I2), (I3), (I4) and (I5):
R—O-(G)1-H  (I1)R—O-(G)2-H  (I2)R—O-(G)3-H  (I3)R—O-(G)4-H  (I4)R—O-(G)5-H  (I5) in the respective molar proportions a1, a2, a3, a4 and a5, such that each of the proportions a1, a2, a3, a4 and a5 is greater than or equal to zero and less than or equal to one and such that the sum a1+a2+a3+a4+a5 is equal to one, b) water, and c) a hydrophobic perfuming substance (A) or for a mixture of hydrophobic perfuming substances (A), said hydrophobic perfuming substance (A) being selected from the group constituted by essential oils that are rich in compounds carrying a phenolic function and essential oils that are rich in compounds carrying an alcohol function, wherein the composition is a solubilizing agent in the aqueous solution, for the hydrophobic perfuming substance (A) or for the mixture of hydrophobic perfuming substances (A).
