Provided is a wheel bearing device with a generator such that there is a high degree of freedom of design, installation space for a generator is provided, and an increase in power-generating capacity is achieved by means of an increase in the size of field-generating components. An annular protrusion (21) extending in the axial direction is formed on an inner-side side surface (2c) of a vehicle-body-mounting flange (2b) of an outer member (2), a stator (23) constituting part of a generator (30) is fitted inside an annular space (22) formed between the protrusion (21) and an outer peripheral surface (2d) of the outer member (2), and permanent magnets (29) are attached to a flange-like rotor case (31) and are arranged so as to face the stator (23) across an air gap in the axial direction, said rotor case being formed integrally with an outer joint member (12) and radially extending from a shoulder part (17) thereof. |
