Disclosed are a display panel, a mobile terminal and a control method for the mobile terminal, which can implement a one-handed operation of a user on a large-scale mobile terminal, thereby improving the use convenience of the mobile terminal. The display panel (1) comprises a first substrate (10), a second substrate (11) which is arranged opposite to the first substrate (10) and a one-handed operation sensing unit (12) which is arranged on the first substrate (10) or the second substrate (11), wherein the one-handed operation sensing unit (12) is used for sensing one-handed hold operation of a user and triggering the display panel (1) when sensing the one-handed hold of the user so as to narrow down a full-screen displayed operation interface to a pre-set one-handed operation comfortable region, which takes a hold position as a reference position, for display. The display panel (1) is applied to a one-handed operation scene.
