摘要 The invention relates to a method for cutting a food product (1) in a food cutting machine, in particular a slicer. A shock impulse of a falling food slice (5) is detected on the portioning tray (6), during the depositing of the food slices (5) falling successively onto the portioning tray (6). An impulse parameter is determined from the detected shock impulse and the slice thickness is adjusted, in the event that the determined impulse parameter falls outside a tolerance region by a target impulse parameter. The invention also relates to a method for detecting the end part of the food product, and a method for starting the product cutting. Finally, the invention also relates to another food cutting machine for cutting a food product.
