The method comprises: receiving (504) a first data packet (310) from a wireless device (110), the first data packet (310) comprising a destination header field including a target IP address as a destination of the received data packet; and obtaining (508) a public IP address and a port allocation associated with the wireless device (110). The method comprises: translating (512) the target IP address into a synthetic IP address, the synthetic IP address comprising the target IP address, the public IP address and the port allocation associated with the wireless device (110); generating (516) a second data packet (340), the second data packet (340) comprising a destination header field including the synthetic IP address as a destination of the second data packet; and transmitting (520) the second data packet (340) to a translation node (335). |
