In some examples, a method may include displaying, by a client device, a representation of a data item received from a server; transmitting, by the client device, to the server, a request to access the data item and information regarding the request to access, in response to a user input; updating, by the server, the representation of the data item to further include the information regarding the request to access; and displaying, by the client device, the updated representation of the data item received from the server.

1. A method, comprising:
generating, by a computing device associated with a user account, a list of data items that is to be displayed on the computing device, the list of data items being based on data associated with the data items and the list of data items comprising title information of each of data items, an indication of whether the each of data items has been previously accessed by the user account, device information regarding at least one device associated with the user account that previously accessed the each of data items, and location information regarding a location at which the at least one device previously accessed the each of data items; sending, by the computing device, to a server, a request to access one of the data items and information regarding the request to access that includes device information regarding the computing device requesting access to the one of the data items and location information regarding a location at which the computing device is requesting access to the one of the data items; receiving, by the computing device, from the server, the requested access to the one of the data items and updated data including the device information regarding the computing device, and the location information regarding the location at which the computing device is requesting access to the one of the data items; and generating, by the computing device, an updated list of data items based on the received updated data.
