According to the present invention, a tank body in the interior of which hydrogen can be stored has: a partition member that partitions the interior into two compartments; a supply means; and an electrolytic power-generating means. One of the compartments is formed of the inner space of a flow channel that starts at a first opening, that circulates in the interior of the tank body, and that ends at a second opening, and the other of the compartments is formed of the outer space of the flow channel. The partition member is formed of the external wall of the flow channel and has a plurality of solid polymer electrolyte membranes of the electrolytic power-generating means that is in contact with each of the compartments. The supply means has a switching means so that water is supplied to the one of the compartments from the first opening and so that air is supplied to the one of the compartments from the second opening. The flow channel is placed such that when water is supplied from the first opening by the supply means, the water flows from bottom up at the position of each of the solid polymer electrolyte membranes. The electrolytic power-generating means stores hydrogen gas in the other of the compartments when water is supplied by the supply means to the one of the compartments and generates electrical power by reacting air with the hydrogen gas in the other of the compartments when the air is supplied by the supply means to the one of the compartments. |
