The present invention provides a liquid detergent composition for clothes that includes: (a) an anionic surfactant which is a straight-chain fatty alcohol polyoxyalkylene ether sulfate; (b) a cationic surfactant; and (c) a nonionic surfactant comprising at least two straight-chain primary fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ethers, including (c-1) a nonionic surfactant comprising at least one primary fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether in which m is 3 to 9, and (c-2) a nonionic surfactant comprising at least one primary alcohol fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether in which m exceeds 9 but does not exceed 50, wherein the mass ratio of (c-1) to (c-2) is 80/20 to 20/80. Furthermore, the mass percentage of (a) to (b) is 80/20 to 48/52, and the total content of surfactants in the composition is 5 to 40 mass%.
