What is indicated is a pressure-equalizing element for equalizing the pressure of an internal space of a housing, in particular an electrical housing, a motor housing or a transmission housing, of a container or the like with respect to an exterior. It comprises a hole introduced into a wall of the housing, a membrane attached in the region of the hole on the interior side, which membrane seals the hole with respect to the exterior of the housing in a watertight but air-permeable manner, and a retaining structure formed on the housing in the region of the hole for receiving an impact protection element. The impact protection element can be connected to the retaining structure on the outside of the housing, and protects the membrane from mechanical effects. Also indicated is a housing having the pressure-equalizing element. |
