1. A method of shaping or reshaping an ear of a subject, the method comprising:
applying electromagnetic energy to the ear with an emitter of electromagnetic energy calibrated to emit a total fluence of from 1 to 60 Joules of electromagnetic energy per square centimeter (J/cm2) onto the ear within 1% of the calibrated total fluence; and fitting the ear with a device that retains the ear in a desired orientation and/or shape so as to shape or reshape the ear into the desired orientation and/or shape.
