In this air conditioning apparatus, at least a single-circuit heat medium conveyor, a heat medium flow rate adjuster, and a heat medium flow rate control device are provided as a heat medium system capable of adjusting the flow rate of a heat medium supplied to a heat source device-side heat exchanger for performing heat exchange between a refrigerant and the heat medium. The air conditioning apparatus switches each of a plurality of usage-side heat exchangers to cooling operation or heating operation in accordance with a control command, to perform simultaneous cooling and heating operations. The air conditioning apparatus is configured such that: in the heat source device-side heat exchanger, the refrigerant flows in accordance with the ratio of the total heating capacity to the total cooling capacity of the plurality of usage-side heat exchangers; and the heat medium flow rate control device controls the flow rate of the heat medium supplied to the heat source device-side heat exchanger, on the basis of the total operating capacity of the heat source device-side heat exchanger and the difference between the total heating capacity and the total cooling capacity of the plurality of usage-side heat exchangers. |
