A method of powering and/or supplementing an existing energy supply at a premises 12, 14 comprises the steps of : a] providing a removable mobile battery pack 26 locatable in a vehicle 24 and which is different to a vehicle battery pack for powering the vehicle; b] charging the mobile battery pack via charging means incorporated in the vehicle whilst the vehicle is travelling between locations; and c] removing the mobile battery pack from the vehicle and removably installing the mobile battery pack temporarily at a premises to power and/or supplement an existing energy supply at the premises. An energy supply system for such a method, a vehicle for use with such a system, and a removable mobile battery pack incorporated as part of a portable goods-supporting platform such as a transportable pallet or cage are also provided. |
