PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polyurethane elastic yarn that excels in elongation, resilience, a moisture absorption exothermic property, and transparency, and that is suitable for a stretch cloth and clothes or the like, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The polyurethane elastic yarn includes polyurethane polymerized from: a mixture polyol (A) consisting of polyethylene glycol (A1) having 500 to 5,000 of a number average molecular weight and polymer diol (A2) other than the (A1) having 500 to 5,000 of a number average molecular weight; an organic diisocyanate compound (B); and a chain extender (C) consisting of water and/or a low molecular weight diol, wherein the reaction equivalent ratio (molar ratio) of a total terminal hydroxy group of the polyethylene glycol (A1) and the polymer diol (A2) to a terminal isocyanate group of the organic diisocyanate compound (B) is at most 5.5, and the weight ratio of the polyethylene glycol (A1) to the polymer diol (A2) is in the range of 1/9 to 5/5. |
