PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device configured to reduce effects on power consumption or the lifetime of a fixing roller, while reducing first-copy-output time in a job after power-on.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes: an imaging device for forming a toner image on a recording material; a fixing device 234 for heating the toner image formed by the imaging device to be fixed on the recording material; and a CPU 801 that performs imaging start operation for adjusting the imaging device, fixing start operation for heating the fixing device 234 to a predetermined temperature, and temperature control operation that performs fixing preparation operation for maintaining the predetermined temperature, in parallel after power-on. The CPU 801 changes the temperature control operation according to the time required for the imaging start operation. |
