A charger assembly to be mounted in a piece of equipment or installed in a wall, floor or piece of furniture including at least one low voltage outlet socket 2, control means 4 and AC to DC power supply conversion 5 and a connection means 6 to connect the charger assembly to an incoming AC power supply, and including interface connection means 3 which allow the selective removal and fitting of the at least one outlet socket and/or control means and/or AC to DC power supply conversion with respect to the remainder of the charger assembly whilst the mains AC power supply to the rest of the charger assembly is maintained.
