PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method which increases the degree of mixing of mobile phases without degrading performance of a liquid feeder.SOLUTION: A liquid feeder includes: a liquid feeding part which sucks and discharges a plurality of kinds of mobile phases; valve means which is arranged above the liquid feeding part and changes the kind of a mobile phase to be sucked to the liquid feeding part, by opening/closing operation; a mixing part which is arranged below the valve means and mixes the mobile phase changed to by the valve means; and a control part which controls the liquid feeding part and the valve means. Further, the liquid feeder includes a storage part which is arranged between the valve means and the mixing part to store the mobile phase. The control part controls operations of the liquid feeding part and the valve means so that the mobile phase sucked to the liquid feeding part counterflows to pass the mixing part again after passing the mixing part and the counterflowing mobile phase is stored in the storage part. |
