The present invention provides a grasping treatment unit and a grasping treatment tool such that conduction of heat to regions of the outer surface of a jaw thereof other than the holding surface is kept low and rigidity of the jaw is ensured. The grasping treatment unit, which comprises a first jaw (21) and a second jaw which are openable and closable relative to each other, has a frame member (42) provided on the first jaw. The frame member includes a plate-like base part (61) that forms a holding surface side end surface of the frame member, and a pillar extension part (65) that extends from the base part toward the dorsal surface side of the frame member and that has one end which is continuous with the base part. Between the base part and the dorsal surface of the first jaw, the pillar extension part defines spaces (66) with the frame member as a defining surface. |
