PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a balloon for a balloon catheter by which the balloon for the balloon catheter suitable for a percutaneous transluminal angioplasty can be manufactured from a single material, especially a straight piping section of the balloon is made with a uniform film thickness and shape to achieve stable quality, and the balloon becomes excellent in re-wrapping performance and cross performance.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a balloon for a balloon catheter comprises the steps of: obtaining a tube for a balloon in which a projection part 16 is formed including a tip area 18 projecting from at least one circumferential surface of an inner peripheral surface 15 or an outer peripheral surface 17 of a perpendicular cross section orthogonal to an axial direction to a radial direction; and obtaining the balloon by arranging the tube for the balloon to a metallic mold and carrying out a biaxial stretch molding. |
