469,986. Ironing machines. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP MACHINEFABRIEK REINEVELD, and BOLSTERLEE, A. Feb. 5, 1937, No. 3512. [Class 138 (ii)] The bearings of the rollers of a duplex ironing-machine are pivoted at 14 to the upper ends of resilient telescopic links 15. The lower ends of the lower portions 16 of the links are formed as strips 17 engaging a pair of eccentrics 18 which are relatively staggered and are keyed to a pin 19 on a crank arm secured to a shaft 20 which may be rotated in either direction by a hand wheel 25 and worm 27. The lower link portions 16 are slidably mounted in the upper portions 15, upward relative movement thereof being limited by nuts 16a, and are surrounded by springs 22 which may be adjusted by nuts 23. Rotation of the shaft 20 in either direction results in upward movement of both portions 16 which, after the nuts 16a contact with the portions 15, causes the portions 15 to rise and so raises the rollers 12, 13 from their beds 4, 5. Similar supporting arrangements are provided at the other end of the roller, and, in place of the eccentrics and straps, the lower ends of the lower portions of the links may be secured to pins extending from crank arms secured to the crank-pin 19.
