[Class 113 (ii)] Bulkheads are con structed with a vertica row of cylindrical plates 16 separated by vertica flat portions 20. The tops and bottoms of the cylindrical plates art joined to horizontally running flat portions 21 by top and bottom plates 19 disposed substan tially horizontally. The bulkhead is stiffened by webs 22 with heels 23. The bulkheads may be arranged transversely or longitudinally of the ship.</p> |
