PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart a sense of a continuous surface to a coupling portion of a body component and an external component, improve an appearance thereof and maintain the appearance.SOLUTION: An external component mounting structure is formed with at least a pair of flange sections 14 and 21 being erected inside a body component 1 and an external component 2 and overlapping with each other for coupling the body component 1 and the external component 2 together in a coupling portion E of the body component 1 and the external component 2 mounted to the body component 1. The external component mounting structure comprises: a retainer member 30 being provided at a rear surface side of the coupling portion E and having first through holes 31 inserted with the pair of flange sections 14 and 21 overlapping with each other; and fixing means 14a, 21a and 40 fixing the retainer member 30 to the body component 1 and the external component 2. A lower surface side of the retainer member 30 is brought into contact with rear surfaces of the body component 1 and the external component 2 in the vicinity of the coupling portion E, and inner peripheral edges of the first through holes 31 are brought into contact with outer peripheral surfaces of the pair of flange sections 14 and 21 overlapping with each other. |
