PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detachable unit that is relatively compact, and suppresses occurrence of a defect in which an opposing member is deformed with a sub case to be brought into contact with an opposing target member, and a defect in which the opposing member is deformed with the sub case to be brought into contact with the opposing target member with a contact force larger than a predetermined contact force; and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A detachable unit includes an opposing target member 11 that is held by a case 10a of the detachable unit, a sub case 12c that is disposed at a position exposed in the detachable unit to be fixedly held by the case 10a, and an opposing member 12a that is brought into contact, along a width direction, with the opposing target member 11 held by the sub case 12c at both ends in the width direction. When an external force toward the opposing target member 11 side is applied to the sub case 12c, a case opposing part 10a1 is brought into contact with a sub case opposing part 12c1 at the center part in the width direction, so as to regulate contact force of the opposing member 12a to the opposing target member 11 from becoming a predetermined value or more. |
