465,328. Automatic guns. GOBIERNO DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS. July 29, 1935, No. 20970 /36. Convention date, July 28, 1934. Divided out of 465,217. [Class 92 (ii)] Relates to firing mechanism adjustable for " single shots," " automatic fire," or " safe " of the kind in which a sear-lever 70, mounted for pivotal and longitudinal movement, has a tooth 78 at one end for engagement with the trigger 79, and at the other end a tooth 83 engaging the breech block and a projection 82 pressing against the faces of a cut-away rotary change-fire stop 84. According to the invention, a leaf spring 87 controlling the trigger is connected at one end to the trigger and at the other end presses on the stop 84 to maintain it in its adjusted positions. The parts are shown adjusted to fire single shots with the trigger in the pulled position. In this position, the spring 89 has moved the sear longitudinally to the right against a face on the stop so that the tooth 78 has slipped over the shoulder 94 on the trigger to release the sear. On rotation of the stop 84, a second face holds the sear to the left of the position shown so that no slipaction takes place, the seat being held down as long as the trigger is kept pulled for automatic fire. On further rotation of the stop to the safety position, its rounded part y prevents rotation of the sear. Specification 245,489, [Class 92 (ii)], is referred to. |
