PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving a steel pipe pile that does not require a large-sized heavy equipment even though the diameter of the steel pipe pile exceeds 1 meter.SOLUTION: A steel pipe pile is buried by a hollow steel pipe pile in which a drilling bit is provided at the tip and a drilling machine 1 provided inside the steel pipe pile in such a way that it can be ascended and descended. The drilling machine includes: a drilling body part having a drilling part at the bottom part to drill obstruction ground; and a gripper 1B holding the drilling body part at a desired position by applying a pressing force to the drilling body part onto the inner surface of the steel pipe pile. The drilling part includes: a first cutter drilling the obstruction ground in a longitudinal axis direction of the steel pipe pile; and a second cutter B2 drilling the obstruction ground outward in the radial direction of the steel pipe pile. The gripper is provided in the drilling body part 1A and extendable toward the inner surface of the steel pipe pile. When the gripper is extended, the drilling body part is pressed and held onto the inner surface of the steel pipe pile, and when the gripper is contracted, the drilling body part is freely ascended and descended in the steel pipe pile. |
