PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release film for such an antistatic surface protective film that can be used for an optical film having a rough surface, gives no contamination to an adherend, shows no changes in low contamination property on an adherend even with lapse of time, and has excellent and prolonged antistatic performance on peeling without degradation with time.SOLUTION: A release film 5 for an antistatic surface protective film having an adhesive layer 2 formed on one surface of a base film 1 is provided, the release film being capable of transferring an antistatic agent to a surface of the adhesive layer 2. The release film comprises a release agent layer 4 containing a release agent that essentially comprises dimethyl polysiloxane and an antistatic agent that does not react with the release agent, deposited on one surface of a resin film 3. The antistatic agent contains, as a component, an ionic compound having a melting point of lower than 30°C. When the release film 5 for an antistatic surface protective film is bonded via the release agent layer 4 to the surface of the adhesive layer 2, the antistatic agent in the release layer 4 can be transferred to the surface of the adhesive layer 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
