PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing a water-insoluble molded body in which the original characteristics of polyanionic polysaccharide as raw material are maintained, further, having high safety and useful as a medical material, a food material, a cosmetic material or the like.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing a water-insoluble molded body including a step in which a raw material molded body formed using the water soluble salt of polyanionic polysaccharide is contacted with the vapor of organic acid or organic acid anhydride, and the raw material molded body is made water-insoluble to form a water-insoluble molded body. |
