PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing lithium nitride whereby the production of lithium nitride progresses safely and quickly and lithium nitride can be stably produced.SOLUTION: A method of producing lithium nitride comprises the step of holding, in a nitrogen gas, metallic lithium having particulate substances mainly composed of oxygen on its surface, and thus making the metallic lithium and the nitrogen gas react with each other to produce lithium nitride. |
