PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic device and a diagnostic method for nonlinear response, which enable soundness of a structure to be diagnosed in a short period of time.SOLUTION: The diagnostic method for nonlinear response includes: an analysis result calculation step (S3) of using an analysis result database in which a simple analysis model of a structure is recorded beforehand, to obtain maximum stress and maximum strain in the simple analysis model by analytical calculation on the basis of an input load measured by a measurement instrument attached to the structure; a test result calculation step (S4) of using a test result database in which a test result obtained by using a test model of the structure is recorded beforehand, to obtain maximum stress and maximum strain in the test result on the basis of the input load measured by the measurement instrument; and a diagnosis step (S5) of determining that displacement of the structure enters the plastic region if at least one of the maximum stress and the maximum strain calculated in the analysis result calculation step or the maximum stress and the maximum strain calculated in the test result calculation step exceeds an allowable value which is prescribed beforehand. |
