PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which is easily handled without requiring a special skill, collects dimensions of a room in polar coordinates, converts them into XY coordinate system data, synthesizes them into a room shape and displays it.SOLUTION: The dimension measuring device for rooms includes: a measuring device body installed at a central part of a room, measuring dimensions of the room in polar coordinates, and having a first radio communication section 10 for transmitting measurement data; and a portable terminal device 3 which includes a second radio communication section 31 for communicating with the first radio communication section 10 of the measurement device body, a display section 32, an operation section 33, a storage section 34, and a main arithmetic section 35, and in which dedicated software is installed for performing a measurement operation in cooperation with the measurement device body. The display section 32 of the portable terminal device 3 is a display-cum-input screen that displays an initial setting screen, an origin setting screen for setting an origin point of the polar coordinates, and a measurement screen for displaying an input of a measurement procedure and a progress state of the measurement. |
